When the Touch Sensor Module is booting, it always calibrates automatically to work best for the current conditions. Since the lighting changes through out the day, the sensor module will keep on calibrating in order to adjust the performance to any changes of the ambient lightning.

Please make sure that the Touch Active Area is clear from any objects or input while the sensor module is booting up (or connected to a power source). This could disturb the calibration and cause poor performance.
