The sensor module is rather resistant to different kinds of disturbances like dust and sunlight. However, if some ambient light would enter the sensor in just the right angle, the performance of the sensor could be lowered and you will eventually see some ghost touches (touches that are not performed). Our recommendation is to place the sensor in a place where the risk of ambient light entering and dust build is low.

The sensor module would have to be installed in a dry environment or seal. For further specification, please refer to Environmental Requirements and Mechanical Integration.
